SnookerAus Central Coast Billiards Challenge15 May 2000 10:59The inaugural SnookerAus Central Coast Billiards Challenge was held at Davistown RSL club on 13-14 May. The 16 entrants were drawn into groups of four to play round robin matches over one hour. The winner of each group and the next 4 highest scoring competitors qualified for the final on Sunday – a straight knockout draw.

Prizemoney was supplied by candelaComputing and was allocated as follows: David Pastoors $150 (Overall winner, B grade winner) Les Clarke $50 (Overall runner-up) Roland Holder $100 (A grade winner) Alan Fletcher $100 (A reserve grade winner) Ian Johnson $100 (C grade winner) The event was considered a success by all involved and laid the foundations for many more tournaments to be run by SnookerAus in the future – watch this space for details of the large scale version to be run in Sydney (off scratch) later in the year. |
